We somehow lucked out and stumbled on a summer 75+ degree-blue sky day in Half Moon Bay. It was so fun shooting such a fun couple on such an amazingly beautiful day.
The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon had their third annual International Festival as part of Welcome Weekend for the new business school admits. Here is Brian, dancing in the Japanese performance. I am usually a fan of eyes in all my photos but I was really fond of the framing of this one.
In the middle of shooting volleyball at the annual Wharton MBA Volleyball Tournament, I found a girl from the Wharton team taking a break from the action. I guess that’s just how we MBAs roll – spreadsheet style. Shot from the above in Hutchinson Gym on the UPenn campus, aged photo toned.
My sister and now brother in-law pulled off the greatest do-it-yourself wedding a couple weeks ago. They pulled help from friends to help with practically everything including the location, flowers, centerpieces, heat lamps… the list goes on and on. As usher and photographer, I definitely had my hands full but it was an amazing time. […]
I snapped this image of Alissa and Paul while walking in front of them on our way to the Dean’s Reception in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. The lighting was soft in the late afternoon. That coupled with a soft and slightly out-of-focus look from a slow Canon SD1000 point and shoot grabbed this image. I really […]
A few of us helped Paul run the first ever Tepper Rock Band tournament on May 2nd, 2009. Like with many things, it wasn’t the content that made it fun but the performances. This was shot in the main stairwell at Tepper and “aged” for effect. I wish I had done more band shots.
Paul in his Rocker element – a sleeveless shirt and class hat and playing for the Super Karate Monkey Death Car band. This was shot against a plain white backdrop and tinted with an “aged” filter and some vignetting. I used a flash to fill in the overhead lights but a small softbox would have […]
The quintessential music aficionado and Rock Band-mate, Caleb, before one of our performances. Caleb played lead singer of the Super Karate Monkey Death Car band. Shot with a blank white wall and cold toned to bring out the blue tie and give the appearance of a hand-colored b/w image.
Jen and Matt asked me to take some photos for a business venture and when renting lights, fun ensues. My downstairs neighbors weren’t too happy about all the jumping.
